De hier genoemde inkorting van lijn 1 hing samen met het niet berijdbaar zijn van de kruising met de SS bij de halte Noordwijk. Toen op 15 Oktober 1947 de Nedelanders een eerste fase van heropbouw van het net introduceerden, werd de doorgaande verbinding Meester-Benedenstad hersteld door lijn 1 tijdelijk via Sawah Besar te leggen, terwijl ter weerszijden van genoemde kruising twee pendellijntjes de dienst onderhielden op de door lijn 1 verlaten trajecten. De lijen 1,2 en 4 werden toen weer doorgetrokken naar de Amsterdamse Poort, ook lijn 5 werd iets verlengd en lijn 6 naar de Chinese wijk keerde eveneens terug. Het pendellijntje Kruising Noordwijk-Harmonie werd al 5 dagen later als onnodig opgeheven. Het tweeklassensystem werd voorts heringevoerd.
