Naar ik verneem heeft de Gemeente de kranen der artesische putten laten vernauwen, om daardoor huurders van woningen te dwingen zioh aan te sluiten aan de gemeentelijke waterleiding. Het wil mij voorkomen, dat dit een zeer onbillijke maatregel is.
Zou het niet rationeeler zijn om, in navolging van de Gemeente-waterleiding te Soerabaia, de eigenaren van huizen boven een huurwaarde van f 50. —te verplichten hunnehuizen aan te sluiten aan de waterleiding. Men vindt te Soerabaia geen enkel huis met een huurwaarde van meer dan f 50. — dat niet is aangesloten.
Zou de Gemeente alhier het voorbeeld van
Soerabaia niet kunnen volgen ?
